Elder Law Attorney Will Show Veterans How to Qualify for Home Health and Assisted Living Payments
Feb 12, 2011
Moorestown, NJ (Law Firm Newswire) February 11, 2011 – Veterans and their surviving spouses who need or are considering home health care and assisted living have resources to help them with these fees. The Veteran’s Administration will pay up to $1,949 a month for these services, and veterans are eligible with as little as 90 days of military service.
The Begley Law Group, PC will host the event, “Veteran’s Aid and Attendance” presentation, on Thursday, February 17 from 5:30-6:30 pm at Washington Township Senior Living in Sewell, New Jersey so that veterans can find out more about these big benefits.
“The session is free and we firmly believe that the sacrifice you have done for the country and the assets you’ve built throughout your life are yours to keep,” said Dana Bookbinder, Certified Elder Law Attorney at the Begley Law Group, P.C. in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
The info session will go over assisted living, VA benefits, and asset protection. At Begley Law Group, P.C., experienced lawyers help families plan for their lives and are up-to-date on the latest laws. They are known for their thorough and diligent style, and want to give every client peace of mind to know that their assets are protected. With veterans aid and attendance, they can help individuals ascertain the various eligibility requirements for Veteran’s and Medicaid Planning because quite often they don’t go hand in hand.
“Most people do not think of the conflicting requirements between veterans and Medicaid planning,” said Bookbinder, who is also an Accredited Attorney with the Veterans Administration. “We will help review your income and assets and provide advice and strategies for you to qualify for benefits that you and your family deserve.”
When the VA awards aid and attendance or housebound status, the veteran can get free medications, medical equipment and supplies, glasses, and hearing aids through VA hospitals, clinics, or even the U.S. Postal Service.
Begley Law Group, PC has helped elderly and disabled individuals and families for more than 75 years. Beyond veteran’s planning, Attorney Bookbinder concentrates her practice in asset protection planning, elder law, disability planning, estate planning, and estate and trust administration.
