Apr 27, 2016
Lakeland, FL (Law Firm Newswire) April 27, 2016 – Thomas C. Grajek, Attorney at Law is pleased to announce his recent graduation from the Forensic Chromatography Course offered by the American Chemical Society.
With this new accomplishment, he has earned the title of ACS-CHAL Forensic Lawyer-Scientist, which can better assist him in defending people with DUI charges.
He joins just over 40 other lawyers across the nation that have also completed this course. He was one of the first four Florida lawyers to earn the certification, giving him elite status among Florida attorneys.
The course included three separate classes, all geared towards using chemistry to assist in criminal cases. The first class, entitled “Forensic Chromatography,” gave him the knowledge to analyze certain DUI tests. The second, “Forensic Drug Analysis,” taught him how to identity certain drugs in their pre-consumption state. The third class was called “Forensic Principles of DUID” and focused on the pharmacology of drugs.
This achievement only adds to Grajek’s already impressive resume. He is a founding member of the DUI Defense Lawyers Association, as well as a member of the National College of DUI Defense, the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the American Chemical Society.
Additionally, Grajek has taken a number of other continuing legal education courses to ensure his expertise is ever expanding. He is an expert on the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, Drug Recognition Expert protocols, and Breath Alcohol Testing used by law enforcement officers. In the past, he has taken many different forensic science courses at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy and the Axion Training Institute and Analytical Laboratory.
Though he’s been in practice for over 20 years, this new certification gives him and his practice a new means of tackling more difficult cases than in the past. As a criminal trial defense attorney, Grajek can assist clients in a variety of different legal areas, including DUI, drug charges, felonies, misdemeanors, violation of probation, and more.
