Charleston, SC (Law Firm Newswire) November 25, 2019 – The Steinberg Law Firm of Charleston, South Carolina, is proud to announce that Attorney Kevin Holmes was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Injured Workers’ Advocates (IWA).
Injured Workers’ Advocates is a South Carolina non-profit association of attorneys who are dedicated to protecting and advancing the rights and legal remedies for South Carolina workers who are victims of occupational injury or disease.
Kevin Holmes has been a member of IWA for many years and is a longtime champion for injured workers in South Carolina. Over his more than forty-year career, Holmes has tried hundreds of cases in State and Federal courts and been a champion for injured workers in South Carolina.

Holmes was instrumental in securing workers’ compensation benefits for those who suffered from occupational diseases, such as byssinosis, or “brown lung disease,” an ailment that frequently affects cotton and other textile mill workers. Holmes won a landmark case regarding occupational disease disability claims early in his career and has not stopped fighting for workers ever since.
Holmes has been recognized regularly by the Million Dollar Advocates, Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers, and has received many other accolades. He serves on the Board of the Charleston County Bar Association and the Board of Governors of the South Carolina Association for Justice.
