Charleston, SC (Law Firm Newswire) November 22, 2019 – Steinberg Law Firm Partner Malcolm Crosland was named the new President-Elect of the Workers’ Injury Law and Advocacy Group (WILG) Attorney Crosland has been involved with WILG for years, serving on the Board of Directors and executive committee.
Crosland started his career at the Steinberg Law Firm in Charleston, South Carolina in 1986. He has always been committed to representing injured people across South Carolina in state and federal courts as well as the S.C. Worker’s Compensation Commission and the U.S. Department of Labor. He has won many cases for those clients, each one representing a life interrupted and complicated by an injury caused by another’s negligence.
Crosland works extensively to preserve the existing workers’ compensation program, especially through his involvement as chairperson of the Opt Out Taskforce, which fights against employers who do not want to provide their employees with workers’ compensation benefits and protections. He was previously honored with the WILG President’s Award for this work.
WILG is an organization of employment attorneys who specialize in representing injured workers. Founded in 1995, the national non-profit helps men and women who have been hurt at work and need legal aid to get the worker’s compensation benefits to which they are entitled. Through advocacy and charity work in Washington, D.C., and communities around the country, the group is committed to protecting the rights of working Americans.
In addition to his involvement with WILG, Crosland does extensive service work with other organizations like the Brain Injury Association of South Carolina, Lowcountry Aids Servers and The Barrier Islands Free Medical Clinic and has received many other awards and honors throughout his exemplary career.
