Denville, NJ (Law Firm Newswire) January 8, 2020 – In case you missed some episodes from the Todd Leonard Radio Show, they are available online. Click to listen to the show from December 22 on WMTR 1250 AM.
Every Sunday at 8 a.m., the Todd Leonard Show features guests involved with helping their community. On December 22, Todd Leonard spoke with Captain Gary Lynch of the Mendham Borough Fire Department. It is a show packed full of fire safety tips and interesting facts and figures about the volunteer fire department, which was voted the No.1 Fire Department in Morris County in 2011.
The Mendham Borough Fire Department provides volunteer fire protection, fire-prevention education, and rescue to over 5,000 residents and visitors to the Borough of Mendham. The fire department operates out of one station that protects a largely residential area of about six square miles. On average, the Mendham Borough Fire Department responds to over 250 calls a year from Station 18.
According to Captain Lynch, volunteerism is the key reason for the success of the local fire department. Without the dedicated men and woman who have come forward to help give back to their community, the fire department would not be what it is today – a bastion of safety and reliability, staffed by local volunteers who want to be there when they are needed in a dangerous situation.
On the show, Captain Lynch emphasized the importance of properly functioning smoke detectors. He also discussed many important fire prevention and safety tips.
The fire department is always looking for new volunteers to serve as firefighters. Anyone who is interested can apply here.
Todd Leonard’s most recent radio show, on Sunday, December 29, 2019, featured Barbara McCloskey and Nancy Levy of the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs, Rockaway-Denville Chapter. You can listen to that
