Tune In to The Todd Leonard Radio Show Featuring Front Line Hero, Emergency Room Nurse, Amy Pierce
Jul 7, 2020
Denville, NJ (Law Firm Newswire) July 7, 2020 – Being pregnant and working on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic at two of our local hospitals – Saint Clare’s Hospital and Newton Medical Center – was an experience like no other for ER nurse, Amy Pierce. Click to listen to the podcast HERE.
When Nurse Pierce was 38 weeks pregnant, COVID-19 hit and she was faced with many serious questions about the safety of her family. About to give birth and with a young family at home, she was terrified about going to work and possibly bringing home the virus or contracting it herself – not something she wanted to contemplate while pregnant.
Her daily routine was to wear scrubs out of the house, change at the hospital, change when she left the hospital and change again before she went into the house. Exhausting and exhausted, she kept on working because she had always wanted to help others. Nursing was the place she wanted to be. It was a ray of sunlight when someone was able to get well enough to be able to go back home.
Pierce shares her dedication to helping others with all members of the staff at the hospitals where she works and feels they too are heroes and heroines. All the teams she works with are fighting the good fight to help others battle COVID-19. The community is thankful and grateful for nurses, doctors and other medical professionals like Amy Pierce.
