Superhero Events was launched as the result of a donation they made to the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, which is how they came up with the superhero theme.
Superhero Events does not just put on races; they are known for putting on memorable events that capture people’s attention and are praised for their innovative approach. As Russo says, “We don’t bring you just races, we bring an experience that is well beyond that and that makes memories to last after crossing the finish line.”
Superhero Events first got its start in 2010 when they began the Superhero Half Marathon. It was so popular it became a staple in New Jersey. Russo and company moved forward and added events like the Super Santa 5k and the St. Paddy’s Day 5k. There are no other races like the Superhero races. Funds raised are given back to the community and charities.
